Bronwen Day Part 5 - Teachers, Adam setting fire to a tree, beauty of the Pilbara, Cyclones, Strike of 88, Baby sitters, Roald Dahl
In this podcast Bronwen Day, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, recalls her many friends who were teachers. One of her best memories was when Adam set fire to a tree at the Fortescue River. She also fondly remembers the beauty of the Pilbara and how the red dirt gets into your blood. She recalls major incidents, including cyclones and the Strike of 1988. She was sad when her Mum and Dad moved on, but she loved Jan Cheeseman who took up the role of baby sitter, so she could remain teaching. One of her favourite memories with her students was when they contacted Roald Dahl.
