25: But I'm Too Busy To Meditate. What If Meditation Changed Why We Think We Can't Meditate?
We either dislike meditation altogether or think it doesn't work for us. Mostly because we have an idea of what meditation is and "looks like" in our head. We have made ourselves separate and identified with our inability to open the door to our heart.
Or the other way... we do start to meditate, but we make it a checklist chore on our routine list that we repeat day after day. We think we are free from our egoic mind, and maybe we even think we are "happy", but really we just created another conditioned program to check the box.
Today's episode we went into how we are "too busy" to meditate (or insert whatever word you feel fits best for you), or how we might feel like it isn't a priority for us.
It's funny how when we do meditate, it then brings clarity or changes the busyness of the very things that stopped us meditating or thinking we cannot meditate in the first place. It's like flipping our whole view of the conditioned world and speaking an unspoken language.
Meditation isn't easy at the beginning. It can feel like a toll on the body, erupt buried emotions or bring up fears. This is where we get to create the safe space meditation that works best for us and our life situation AND allow that to change with us over time as the connection to our greater field expands and grows.
Meditation might feel like nothing. No thing. It might not even feel like it's having an impact on our life. It's often "invisible". When life throws a challenge, shock, grief, suffering or major life transition, often it is in these times where our compounding effect of connecting within, our greater field, our open heart kicks in. It allows us to process, receive, allow, accept and move forward and through without judgement and by processing our emotions fully.
Meditation or as we called it "opening the door to our heart" allows us to experience the richness, depth and abundance of life in all areas. It sets the scene for our day, our life, our relationships, our wealth, our holidays and leisure times, our sexual experiences, our careers, our sensory experiences, our everything and our no thing.
In the silence, in the pauses, in the present is our clarity. That state can then go with us everywhere we go - work, shopping, loud environments.
The more resistance we feel in this space and the more separate we make ourselves, the stronger we are calling to join the communal conga line and dance the oneness we are created to be. We can shine brightly as our unique puzzle piece when we see we are a part of the greater tapestry.
The last 10 minutes (Timestamp 41:12) is a guided Open The Door To Your Heart Connection practice. I hope you enjoy.
