Episode 267- Pokémon Heroes (2002)

In 2002's Pokémon Heroes, Ash and his friends pause their Johto journey to visit the city of Alto Mare. This Venice-inspired locale hosts a popular water race in its canals, but it also holds quite a few mysteries. The Eon Pokémon, Latios and Latias, are said to be the city's unseen guardians. Annie and Oakley, a pair of famously fashionable thieves, also arrive in Alto Mare in order to steal its sacred Soul Dew crystal. When Latias takes a liking to Ash, our hero finds himself in a battle to save the city from certain disaster. Combining the power of an Eon Pokemon with the Soul Dew allows Annie and Oakley to activate the ancient Defense Mechanism of Alto Mare. As the villainous duo's plan spirals out of control, a great sacrifice may be required to restore peace to the Water Capital.
