Have someone in your group read aloud Revelation 7:9-17. Encourage the rest of your group simply to listen attentively to the reading. This will be similar to how the early Christians first heard this message--one person read while the others listened. After reading, discuss these questions:

1. What images stood out to you? Why?

2. The ones dressed in white are described as those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. Literally speaking, dipping a garment in blood would not make it white. What is the meaning of this surprising image?

3. For people like those early believers, living in a time of intense persecution, what comfort does this vision give?

4. What encouragement or comfort does this passage offer you?
