45. Never Be Manipulated Again: Abusing Truisms, Comparing, Future Faking, Monitoring, and Sarcasm

• Abusing Truisms occur when abusive/manipulative people make general statements about life that are hard to dispute to their advantage.

Comparing (08:57)

• Comparing is when an abusive/manipulative person makes a comparison that is hurtful, shaming, or controlling of you.

Future Faking (14:11)

• Future faking is a manipulation tactic that occurs when an abusive/manipulative person makes a false promise for the future to get what they want in the present.

Monitoring (21:13)

• Monitoring is when an abusive/manipulative person monitors your activity, location, or behavior.

Sarcasm (24:37)

• Sarcasm is when someone says the opposite of what they actually mean in an effort to criticize or poke fun.

Meet Dr. Daksha Hirani

Dr Daksha Hirani obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London and worked for the National Health Service for over 10 years before going into full time private practice. She has over 25 years’ experience of working with adult mental health and trauma. She feels passionately about helping victims of Narcissistic Abuse and this has been the focus of her work for the past 7 years.
