Sean Gunn to Guest Star on Mostly Superheroes Podcast! 

Get ready, superhero fans! Sean Gunn, the talented actor known for his roles in Gilmore Girls, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and The Suicide Squad, is making a special appearance on the Mostly Superheroes podcast. Hosted by Logan Janis, Andy The Giggler, and Scotty Scoop, the indie podcast who is celebrating all things pop culture, movies, and TV. 

What to Expect 

On Monday, July 22nd, Sean Gunn will join the show to discuss a variety of exciting topics: 

St. Louis: As a St. Louis-based podcast, Mostly Superheroes will dive into Sean’s experiences in the Gateway City.  

Gilmore Girls: Fans of the beloved TV series will be thrilled to hear Sean’s thoughts on his iconic role as Kirk Gleason.  

Kraglin in the MCU: Sean Gunn portrayed Kraglin, Yondu’s loyal right-hand man, in the MCU. We’ll explore his experiences working with the Guardians of the Galaxy crew and his thoughts on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. 

Weasel from The Suicide Squad: Sean also played Weasel in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. What was it like being part of this wild ensemble cast? We’ll find out! 

The Larger DC Universe: With Sean’s involvement in both the MCU and the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), we’ll discuss the differences and similarities between these two superhero worlds.

But that’s not all! Sean Gunn’s appearance on Mostly Superheroes is just a warm-up. He’ll be attending Fan Expo Chicago from August 16th to 18th. Fans can meet him, get autographs, and maybe even ask more burning questions.

• Sean Gunn was born on May 22, 1974, in St. Louis, Missouri. 

• He is the younger brother of filmmaker James Gunn, who often casts him in his movies. 

Notable Roles: 

• Kirk Gleason in "Gilmore Girls" (2000–2007): Sean gained widespread recognition for portraying the quirky and endearing Kirk Gleason in this beloved WB series. 

• Kraglin Obfonteri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): 

• Sean played Kraglin, a Ravager and loyal friend to Yondu, in several MCU films: 

• "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014) 

• "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (2017) 

• "Avengers: Endgame" (2019) 

• "Thor: Love and Thunder" (2022) 

• "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" (2023) 

• He also lent his voice to the animated series "What If...?" and appeared in "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" (2022). 

Other Work: 

• Sean had guest roles in various TV shows, including "Angel," "3rd Rock from the Sun," and "Bunheads." 

• He appeared in commercials as an "agent" for the text message information service KGB.com. 

• In films, he played "Alien Orphan/Doug" in "The Specials" (2000).
