Part of making biblical Hebrew more accessible and easier to learn (especially for Bible translators) is making more easy reading materials to learn it. You don't pick up Shakespeare to learn English, and starting in the Old Testament to learn biblical Hebrew is pretty hard. It can be very discouraging and it's part of why (one part!) only 1% of people who learn biblical Hebrew in seminary or college actually go on to use it. It's tough. And we need all the resources to make it easier. So my summer project was to translate a book into biblical Hebrew, to experiment with translation, but also to help provide resources for people to learn Hebrew. Listen in as I and a few friends read you the book.
Credits go to Annie, for excellent picture descriptions, Erin, for reading the first half of the book, and Rachel (the other one) for joining me two nights later to finish it. She was our missing person on the first part, so we got everyone included in the end. Just like the bunny.
