Friday Distinguished Professor of Education in the University of North Carolina School of Education, director of the UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, and the President-Elect of the International Society for Autism Research, INSAR
In June 2023, Dr. Boyd hosted the first in-person meeting of the Black Empowerment in Autism Network. The first-of-its-kind group of Black scholars (including Autistic members) was developed to make autism research more inclusive and examine the ways that autism impacts Black children and their families.
