Encountering God's Presence [Genesis Part 5]

What is the connection between our faith and God's blessings? In Genesis 28, Jacob, fleeing from his brother Esau's wrath after deceitfully obtaining his blessing, encounters God at Bethel (which means "house of God"). This passage reveals the beginning of Jacob's personal relationship with God and the powerful covenant promise God reaffirms with Jacob, an imperfect man. In looking for God's blessings, Jacob finds God's presence.
