Shadow Play DS9 Season 2, Episode 16

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season 2 episode 16 "Shadow Play" explained. Join me as I review and recap the episode where Dax and Odo travel to the Gamma Quadrant and investigate a planet where people are mysteriously vanishing. Why does Odo come along? So the episode can happen. And Odo makes friends with a young girl who is played by one of the one good child actors to appear in TNG so why not bring her back for another role? Meanwhile Quark is up to some shenanigans on the station and the Kira and Bareil relationship start and it's off to a really stiff and awkward start. And Jake makes a decision that's a good character moment for this episode but will sentence him to be less important than many recurring guest characters for the rest of the show.
