Apostle Jonathan Annan Podcast
Religion & Spirituality
Jesus exemplified the struggle between walking in the Spirit, which aligns with the will of God, and walking in the flesh, which reflects the will of man. In Matthew 26:36-43, during His time in Gethsemane, Jesus wrestled with this tension as He prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Despite the deep anguish He felt, He chose to submit to God’s will rather than yielding to the natural human desire to avoid suffering.
Apostle Jonathan Annan teaches that walking in the Spirit, like Jesus demonstrated, brings the fulfilment of God's will in our lives, leading to peace, purpose, and eternal rewards. In contrast, walking in the flesh—pursuing the desires and lusts of men—may seem gratifying in the moment but ultimately leads to spiritual destruction and the loss of our soul. This message encourages believers to consistently choose the Spirit's guidance over the fleeting desires of the flesh, trusting that God’s will always leads to a greater and lasting good.
