Dr. Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg is an esteemed academic, innovator, and activist whose work has significantly advanced leadership and empowerment for women. Currently the Managing Director of Africa Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT, Africa. she has achieved international recognition since her 20s as the founder of Akili Dada, a pioneering leadership incubation hub for young girls in Kenya. Her leadership is characterized by a deep commitment to investing in others.
