This episode focused on Quality & Safety and MaineHealth’s journey to be a safe, high reliability organization.

CEO Andy Mueller began by sharing a story about the importance of positively identifying the patient. He was then joined in the conversation by Alex Penney, senior director of patient safety and risk management, Mary Beth DiFilippo, chief nursing officer, MaineHealth Mountain Region, and Jeremy Warren, clinical pharmacist at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland.

Each shared their unique perspectives and stories, as well as valuable information about MaineHealth’s Red Rule (PPID), the Right Patient, Right Care campaign, transition to Press Ganey, nurses’ and pharmacists’ commitment to patient safety, and compelling Good Catch stories.
