The top three in the championship are changing almost daily as Leeds is back on top, with Da Blades now in third place. The same applies to the final playoff spots, as five teams are within two points of each other. Birmingham City is the first club in the FA to gain promotion from League 1, while Wrexham’s chance for a third straight promotion is now in their own hands. Walsall’s drop in League 2 continues, with the club having had a 12-point cushion at the top but now finding themselves in fourth place. Finally, Tranmere scored a late equalizer at Accrington Stanley in the battle to survive an exodus from the professional ranks.
