Days of our Lives May sweeps bring devastation to Salem with the confirmation of John Black's (Drake Hogestyn) death and heartbreak for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), suffering from sepsis, desperately needs a miracle. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) might have a solution with a new sepsis drug, but it's not yet approved for human trials on the NBC Peacock soap opera. 

DOOL sweeps see Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) grapples with the revelation of his father EJ DiMera's (Dan Feuerriegel) actions towards Sammy (Alison Sweeney), leading to a crisis of conscience about impending fatherhood. The identity of EJ's shooter is anticipated to be revealed during May sweeps, with the possible twist that the shooter's mother ends up in prison instead. 

Sweeps for Days of our Lives see it appears that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) may confess to the shooting to protect her daughter Rachel Black (Alice Halsey). The sorrowful send-off for John Black is set for June, with many returning to Salem for an emotional farewell. Sarah's secret about her involvement with Phillip (John-Paul Lavoisier) in keeping forgery hidden from Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) could be revealed, leading to potential heartbreak for Sarah.
