Pure S--t Again: Dana Nessel's Fascist Turn, Elissa Slotkin Continues Rightward, and More

It was a busy week in Michigan politics- we talk about how Dana Nessel's targeting of anti-genocide protestors in Ann Arbor with the FBI is both a fascist turn on her part and an echo of some of America's dark past when the government put a target on the backs of social justice organizers (e.g., COINTELPRO).

 

Elissa Slotkin persists in attempting to turn the clock back to the 1990s- in a recent POLITICO article she decried the usage of "oligarchy" by progressives and claimed the Democratic Party is "weak and woke." We talk about what function Slotkin is playing in engaging in this type of rhetoric which seeks to further solidify the democrats as a right-wing, capitalist party.

 

Shri Thanedar will be facing a progressive primary challenger and we talk briefly on the auspicious timing of him pressing impeachment articles against Trump.
