Have you ever thought to yourself:

“Trust me when I say, I need to stay up late and get up early for my work. There is no time for rest.”

I completely understand, especially if you are working to make ends meet. There is nothing wrong with working hard, even if it is two jobs. It is important, however, that we make time for rest. Are you consulting God in your decision to work hard? Have you considered that He knows exactly what your circumstances are and what you need to earn to make ends meet? 

The truth is, that without proper rest, your body, your mind, and even your faith and relationship with God can suffer. Often we decide what we need to do in our work without consulting the One who knows about every detail of your situation. If you are working and striving and pushing your way through each day, I invite you to bring your circumstances to God and ask Him if you are aligned with His plans - and if not, to show you the way to rest.
