Lori Wallach is Director of Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch division and has promoted the public interest regarding World Trade Organization’s agenda, globalization and international commercial agreements to Congress and foreign parliaments, the courts, government agencies, and the media.

Wall Street Journal described her as "Ralph Nader with a sense of humor", National Journal calls her "the Trade Debate's Guerrilla Warrior”. Working closely with civil society, scholars, and activists in developing countries and with U.S. congressional, environmental, labor, groups, Lori has spearheaded the debate on free trade agreements and globalization on jobs, livelihoods and wages; the environment; public health and safety; equality and social justice and democratically accountable governance.

 

She has testified to over 20 congressional committees on trade and globalization. She is the author of “Whose Trade Organization? A Comprehensive Guide to the WTO” and has contributed to numerous anthologies. Lori is a graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Law School. TradeWatch.org
