Cholesterol Info:
Total cholesterol - 'Largely Irrelevant'
LDL - 'Bad Cholesterol'
HDL - 'Good Cholesterol'
Triglycerides - Largely Ignored
2 Types of LDL
Type A large fluffy LDL - Reduced risk heart disease.
Type B small particle size LDL - Increased risk heart disease.
You want to have lots of large Type A not Type B.
You can tell what LDL you have via a LDL particle size test which isn't avilable with the NHS.
The key is triglycerides/HDL ratio
The higher this ratio the greater the risk
Trig/HDL > 3 very high risk - Lots small LDL
