This interview first aired on the September 13, 2014 “FFA Today” show on Rural Radio SiriusXM Channel 80.
In 2002, Karlene Lindow made history when she was named American Star Farmer; she was the first female to receive the honor. In 2014, Karlene once again made history when she donated her blue corduroy FFA jacket to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History for their upcoming “American Enterprise” exhibition. Karlene reflects on her experiences as a member of the Marshfield FFA Chapter, and she talks about her continuing passion for agriculture and her family’s swine operation.
