Michael Redmond (Comedian): Episode 70

Michael Redmond is best known for his role as Father Stone in Father Ted having also appeared in Brass Eye and Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. Over the last thirty years Michael has made his name on stage as a stand up comic in the UK. This week he talks to Jarlath about what topics he believes should or should not be joked about, how he once quit comedy before returning and starting from scratch, the response to Father Ted in it's early days and how a rain mac gave him comfort on stage.

Michael also discusses why he believes some people like to be offended, his experiences of having his jokes stolen and in the course of this conversation Jarlath also uncovers what would really push this mild-mannered man over the edge.
