Jonathan Gunning: Episode 78

This week actor and founder of Clowns without Borders Ireland, Jonathan Gunning, talks about his journey which took him from battling a crippling shyness to performing in front of hundreds of children in war-torn countries with the simple aim of putting a smile on their faces. Jonathan discusses his training and experiences at the world-famous Jacques Lecoq physical theatre school in Paris, why the character of the clown is one of the most difficult to perfect and his experience with a terminally ill boy that changed everything for him.

 

From learning his trade as an actor to working closely with children who have forgotten how to be children Jonathan's story is one that must be heard.
