In the latter half of Revelation 18, LORD Jesus shows us how fragile and weak this world’s system is when He imposes His judgment against it. In one hour, its headquarters Babylon is destroyed and there is nothing that anyone could do about it. But, before LORD Jesus brings destruction on Babylon, He gives one last warning to His saints to come out of her. People don’t like to be told what to do. We see that in the case of Lot and his family when God sent angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. However, God’s judgment is swift and powerful. The national leaders and their viceroys have run for safety as they observe from a distance the permanent destruction of the world’s system. All they could do was to lament Babylon’s destruction.
Revelation 19 Part One: Great Worship in Heaven
What happens next is beyond any human capacity to understand or even to have knowledge of its existence. LORD Jesus is allowing John to show the church a full celebration of worship. Verse one leads us into divine worship and for the next how many hours or days it last, heaven is in a grand state of worship of God our Father and Jesus our LORD. This heavenly celebration is a prelude to the glorious appearing of Christ, the King of kings, and the LORD of lords. What is facing creation is the greatest revelation since God brought forth creation. The most majestic Person is about to assemble His Army, an army of saints. Most saints today have no idea that Christ our Commander-in-Chief has ordained them to be in His Army. The world’s armies as we know them are now under the command of the Prince of Darkness, satan himself. There is about to be a show down. The Prince of Life and His Army against the Prince of Darkness and his army.
