This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Ben Carson has bravely initiated a long-overdue conversation: Is the Islamic supremacist doctrine of shariah compatible with the Constitution of the United States and are those seeking to impose it on the rest of us able to fulfill the oath of office of the presidency – or for that matter any other office in the land?
Not surprisingly, Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations want to suppress such questions. Many in the media insist on deflecting attention from either the questions or the correct answers – shariah is anti-constitutional and its adherents must subvert the Constitution, not uphold and defend it.
More troubling is the unwillingness of most of Dr. Carson’s fellow Republican presidential candidates to address these substantive issues forthrightly. Failure to do so should be considered disqualifying for the office they seek.
