This 4-week series will introduce you to Qigong (pronounced chee-gong). It is an ancient Chinese practice and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing, relaxation and movement exercises that help to integrate the mind body and spirit. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, it works to regulate the flow of energy within the body to maximize one's healing potential. In many ways Qigong is to China what Yoga is to India. Clinical studies have shown that Qigong can relieve chronic pain, improve balance, reduce tension, improve cardiovascular function and influence the index of blood biochemistry.

Kathryn Davis is certified as a Qigong Teacher and in Qigong Healing Techniques from OCOM, the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
