An FFA: Food For All grant helped Nebraska’s Blue Hill FFA Chapter use their new greenhouse to grow a bumper crop of tomatoes. Chapter members were involved from start to finish – planting the tomato seeds, transplanting the seedlings and picking the ripe tomatoes. Then they canned 54 jars of tomatoes and 36 jars of spaghetti sauce, which they donated to a community food bank and to their school. FFA advisor Melissa Bonifas and FFA members Taylor Bonifas and Feliccia Overy fill in more details about the project.
