Today’s guest is a former New York model that suffered from severe eating disorders and drug addiction which threatened to take her life 20 years ago. With a strong mind and the sport of cycling she turned her life around and managed to become an Olympic Silver Medalist, 7-time US National Champion, former world record holder and two-time Pan American gold medal winner. As a vegetarian athlete she stood on the podium of the 2012 London Olympic Games just five months shy of her 40th birthday, the oldest athlete ever in her discipline. Her biggest passion right now is to stop animal cruelty through her organization called Compassion Champs. She resides in Irvine, CA with her husband Kirk and their three dogs Minnie, Yodi and Lola. Her name is Dotsie Bausch.
