With only Christina away for a wedding, Father Anthony, Gerri, and Tony join us today, with Tony bird sitting for Christina and she talked to Father Anthony and how she is having beautiful weather there, however it’s gotten cold here in Chicago. Despite the changing weather, Father Anthony and everyone share their feelings on the readings from this morning. Through this, Father Anthony discusses how we have a need for God, He provides us help and guidance, with us having “a service” to God here as well as we do have that and being servants of God, in return for His worship, as well as His help. As the show goes on, Father Anthony continues on us being servants of God and how the readings are influential on him and others. He also talks about the book titled: Strangers in a Strange Land by Charles J. Chaput that he recently read and how it relates to the way things are in a way, but also asks Gerri and Tony their opinions of how the title actually relates to the times we live in. Leading to some very personal feelings in terms of turning to God and Jesus when we need help, as well as how people are acting today. This leads Father Anthony to saying that “things are unsettling” in terms of how things are and the way people act.
