Genesis 16

So often, we try to work out the promises of God in our own timing, in our own way, by our own strength, and our own flesh! Sarai was no different, as we see in Genesis 16, and serves as an example of what results when we think our standing with God stems from our own human efforts rather than faith in waiting for the promise! Including Galatians 3 and 4, we begin to see that the story of Sarai, Hagar, Ishmael, Abraham, and Isaac goes much deeper than just another story. Rather, it tells a story, our story...the story of the Gospel unveiled to those who have turned to the Lord (2 Corinthians 3)
