In this story, Pauline Johnson describes a little boy named Talapus who longs to leave his home on Vancouver Island to see the wider world and attend a Potlach, or great gift-giving feast on the mainland of British Columbia. Will he dance? Will he please the great Tyee? Will he make his father and his namesake, the Prairie Wolf, proud?
