The latest from Olivier Assayas delves into a strange medium’s life as she waits for a message from her dead brother in Personal Shopper. The third installment of Caeser’s ape world has the best emotional punches yet. Valerian’s imaginative world building and adventurous atmosphere is great even if the plot and dialogue isn’t.
