Every year the NFL Competition Committe gets together to change, add, or remove rules from within the playbook. For years, it seems the NFL drops the ball somehow, and adds something obsurd to the rulebook. This time it seems to be another move to continue their attempt at keeping the wool pulled over players and fans eyes of "Plater Safety." Simply put from Austin Knoblauch at NFL.com, "The NFL approved the broadening of the helmet-hit rule that will penalize players who lead with the crown of their helmets to initiate contact against an opponent on any play, NFL Competition Committee Chairman Rich McKay announced Tuesday." There you have it, even more grey area for refs to not have the ability to correct a blundered call; for what?
