May 2018 with James Le Mon

I first met James Le Mon a few years ago when he was serving as principal of Wilde Lake High School where one of Lloyd’s and my grandkids was attending.   On more than a few visits to that school I was struck by the good yet firm relationship he appeared to have with the students. When Superintendent Martriano became head of the Howard County System  last year, he chose Mr. LeMon  to serve in the position of Executive Director of Community, Parent, and School Outreach throughout the county.

In this interview Mr. Le Mon talks about his own years as a high school and college student and how they played a major role in preparing him for the important position he holds  in our community today. Whether or not we are aware, the schools have a major impact on the entire community, not just the students.
