What is Biblical repentance? It means far more than just saying that we feel bad or that we are sorry when we are caught in a sin. The Bible gives us a powerful illustration of true Biblical repentance in the story of David’s repentance after the prophet Nathan confronted him over his sin with Bathsheba and Uriah. While the story of Nathan’s confrontation and David’s repentance is recorded in 2nd Samuel 12, it’s in the two Psalms that David wrote during this time (Psalm 32 and 51) that we best learn about the true nature of David’s repentance before God.
