Reaching the Lost
To the Core: Values that Drive Us
June 10, 2018
Reach: to stretch or extend so as to touch or meet; to establish communication with; to succeed in making contact with, influencing.
These are just a few of the definitions of the word reach you’ll find on dictionary.com. All of us are reaching for something. We reach because we have a desire. We reach for a cup of coffee or the hand of someone we love; we set a goal and push ourselves until we reach it. What are you reaching for? We are in week 6 of our 7-week series, To the Core. We’ve been taking a look at the values that define who we are as a church and unpacking what it means to intentionally live out those values. This week we're focusing on our value for reaching out to those who don’t know Jesus. We know it’s important. Jesus told us to do it! But it can be challenging, even difficult. And though we may want to, sometimes we just don’t know how. In this message we look at what it means to live out this value in simple, but significant ways that God can use to change the lives and eternities of those around us.
