The British Prime Minister Theresa May is chairing a meeting on Brexit today with her cabinet colleagues in her country home of Chequers.
Mrs May’s cabinet remains deeply divided over what the UK’s future relationship with the EU should be. The Prime Minister’s Brexit plans are expected to tie the UK to EU rules for the foreseeable future. That could see the UK remaining closely aligned to EU rules on the likes of food and agriculture.

The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness, who is the Vice President of the European Parliament, says the coming months are likely to be unpredictable when it comes to achieving a clear Brexit plan.
