On Thursday, July 12, 2018, KGLP's Trey Chavez spoke with Jeremy Boucher, a director of the Project Office at Southwest Indian Foundation, at SWIF's Gallup, New Mexico warehouse facility, about the organization's 2-decade collaboration with Air Force and, this summer, South Carolina National Guard personnel, to build housing for selected residents of the Navajo Nation, with the focus more recently being on homes for Navajo military veterans.
The goal since April of this year is to provide 10 modular-style houses built by some 40 members of the South Carolina National Guard.
