Chris Garcia is the Former Deputy Director of the US Department of Commerce. Chris is CEO of Vicar Financial. As the Trump Administration’s leading voice on minority business, Garcia was tasked with overseeing a national network of 42 business centers and a budget of $34 million. In FY17, he led the Agency to a record-breaking year, reporting to Congress a total of $7.9 billion in contracts and investments facilitated for minority-owned businesses, in a series of actions that created over 10,000 new jobs. In October 2017, President Trump hosted Garcia, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, and award-winning minority businesses in Oval Office to honor and recognize their contributions to the global economy.
