An EU-Canada air transport agreement will benefit consumers and businesses in Ireland, according to Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune.
MEPs meeting in Strasbourg voted on the last stages of the deal this week.
It paves the way for further expansion of airline services between the trading blocks.
In Ireland, services currently operate from Dublin and Shannon airports.
Fine Gael MEP, Deirdre Clune is a member of the European Parliament’s Transport Committee.
She says the air deal allows for more commercial activity
