LAKE LIFE WKND 040 In this episode we have the pleasure and honor to speak with Kenny Nelson who is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the area and probably all of Minnesota. Back in 1971 he and his father started a small dog feed company in Perham which grew into a nation wide player in the dog food industry. After that Kenny started a couple more companies which became big in the snack and candy industry. Today, Tuffy's and KLN Family Brands are well known companies using manly local ingredients. A majority of key management positions are filled by Nelson family members and are resposible to grow the companies. Kenny is still active and passionate to be out with customers. Him and his family are very engaged in the local community and give back to the area as much as they can in appreciation of the success they were given by the hard working families during the past decades.
