Scores for games in the NBA have increased drastically over the past 5 years rising each season from 99.88 points per game in 2014-2015 to 110.64 points per game this season. A quick examination of the data shows this is likely due to the increase in the amount of 3s and possessions per game (up approximately 10 per game and 7 per game over last 5 seasons respectfully). Today we will deep dive the numbers to try to find answers to these questions and more.
