First Sunday of Advent

Worship Focus: A new church year! And we begin our church year the same way we ended the last one: looking forward to the Last Day when our Savior will come and judge the world, deliver his people, and begin his glorious reign. God promised Christ would come the first time, and he did. God promises he’s coming back, and he will. Are you ready for Christ’s return? Are you ready for that judgment? Heed Jesus’ encouragement in the Gospel Lesson: “Be careful!...Be always on the watch!”
