An EU committee is investigating the development of alternative transport routes for Ireland post-Brexit.
The European Parliament’s Transport Committee is examining EU commission proposals to expand maritime trade routes from Ireland to continental Europe. The plans would be particularly important if the UK crashes out of the EU without a Brexit deal.
The Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune who is on the Parliament’s Transport Committee says Ireland will need alternative ways of transporting goods to mainland Europe post Brexit.
