Patience is a virtue...one that we generally learn by failure. Simeon & Anna have a different story. They spent their entire lives waiting for this moment when Jesus, the promised Messiah, enters the world. A promise fulfilled. A promise we remember anytime we see the colors of Christmas. Green, a symbol of life and hope. Red, a reminder that Jesus was born to die. And, of course, a touch of gold to remind us of the eternal life that Jesus promises!
