Advent is part of the liturgical calendar that helps the church retell the story of the Bible each year. It remembers the Old Testament saints that walked only with the promises of God, promises that were fulfilled with the coming of Christ. Advent is for the hurting and the incomplete. It is for those who walk in darkness to remind us that our Hero is coming. In this series we are going to look at some of the lesser known pictures of the Old Testament where we see God’s love and promises revealed and the foreshadow of the One to come.
