Physical bridges are built to bring people and things together, and they are designed to be beneficial to man. In the spiritual sense, bridges are also needed to connect us to one another and to God relationally. This lesson begins a series of studies exploring bridges to God, our community, and in our relationships. Covered in this first study are the concepts of bridges as symbols, walls as symbols, Christ the bridge builder, and Christians should be bridge builders. The lesson concludes with the idea that bridges need to be repaired at times, and the encouragement that the most important bridge to cross is the one Christ built on the cross.
