035 - The Methodist Vote to Confirm Hatred and Bigotry

On this episode we discuss the recent vote by delegates of the United Methodist Church to strengthen it's opposition to gay marriage and ban on LGBTQ clergy. We examine the fallout of the vote and how it could effect the second largest protestant denomination in the United States. Will this cause a continued decline in membership and attendance or will this be a fissure that could end up splitting the church on political and social lines? Only time will tell, but that doesn't stop us from weighing in on the subject. Also, as always we explore a rabbit hole or two along the way.
