Interview - Matt Carthy says new rules on unfair trading practices do not go far enough
Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy criticises measures backed by the European Parliament to outlaw unfair trading practices in the agriculture and food sector.
Speaking to Irish journalist Eamonn Torsney, the Midlands North-West MEP says the measures do not go far enough for Irish Farmers and he criticised other Irish MEPs who voted for the new rules.
They outlaw practices such as the use of hello money, the refusal of a buyer to sign a written contract with a supplier and the misuse of confidential information.,
