Pokemon is up there with one of the most recognizable franchises of all time. What started out with a red or blue cartridge for many of us evolved into a phenomenon filled with dozens of games, billions of dollars in merchandise and even a Pokemon Café, because why not? It’s easy to talk about the obvious games, including Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, Sapphire and others, but the series also had many successful spin-off titles that ventured away from the RPG formula. In 1999, Nintendo published Pokemon Snap on the Nintendo 64. A game where instead of fighting monsters, you took pictures of ‘em! It seemed like a bad idea on paper, but we grew to love this title, hence why we decided to cover it on another excited episode of A Cast to the Past!
