After a short hiatus from Audio Abstracts we are back covering some new and interesting literature. In this episode of S4P we cover an article from the Washington Post titled “Weekend ‘catch-up sleep’ is a lie”. The article was written based on a paper called “Ad libitum Weekend Recovery Sleep Fails to Prevent Metabolic Dysregulation during a Repeating Pattern of Insufficient Sleep and Weekend Recovery Sleep” and looks at the effects of people who commonly increase their sleep duration on the weekend to recover from sleep loss incurred during the work week.
